English Mastiff Breeders

By the end of the WWII the breed was almost extinct in England and was used as a watchdog, a guarding dog, was used in the police work, military work, search and rescue, and weight pulling. These dogs are 30 inches (76cm) high and weigh about 160 pounds (72kg).

These are very strong and well-muscled dogs with the smooth, shorthaired coat that is easy to groom. The coat needs regular brushing and washing when necessary. On the whole this breed is an average shedder. This breed was founded in Britain as early as the Roman invasion.
